It is our policy at www.daytraders.org (hereinafter "We", "Our", "Us") to respect your privacy. We will not sell or rent your email address to third parties.
In accordance with our guidelines, users who engage in manifest misconduct may expect a full report of their activities, including all traceable personal identifying information, to be forwarded by us to the relevant enforcement authorities. As the on-join message states each time you enter #DayTraders, please read our disclaimer -- participation at #DayTraders implies your acceptance of all terms contained therein.
Users, when kicked or banned, will have their IRC "/whois" data automatically recorded with the incident time along with a record of the user's system name or LAN name if this is accessible. You can control the data that appears in a "/whois" query by modifying the entries in your IRC client program. You can control accessibility of your system name or LAN name through use of a firewall. We do not require users to provide accurate or complete personal data. We do however reserve the right to deny service to anyone for reasons of refusal to provide identifying data on request.
In the case of serious offenses, such as, for example, severe or persistent harassment, stalking, or apparent attempts to engage in criminal activity, we will provide identifying data to your Internet Provider, police authorities, or to securities regulatory or enforcement agencies.
We do not own or control the IRC Network where #DayTraders resides. We do not and cannot assure that any communication you engage in there will be private.
We pro-actively cooperate with regulatory and enforcement agencies, and will disclose any identifying information we possess to such authorities upon receipt of any reasonable request.
