This tutorial will show you how to download, install, and configure the mIRC software. You may also obtain instructions directly from the mIRC website.
mIRC is shareware, which means that you are required to register it after your free 30 day evaluation period to continue using it. Registration is an affordable, one time fee of $20 and includes future program updates.
 Click here to download mirc612.exe to your desktop. If asked whether you should Open File From Location, or Save To Disk, be sure to Save To Disk.
Be sure to select "Desktop" in the "Save in" location box.

Locate the file on your desktop, and double click it. Go through the entire installation process accepting all defaults.
After you have installed it, select Start / Programs / mIRC / mIRC32 and go to File / Options (or hit ALT-O) to view the options. See the section below called ScreenShots for all parameters.

Just like there are several channels on TV, there are several channel in mIRC. You must be on an "Othernet" server to reach the #DayTraders chat room. Start mIRC and go to Options / Connect. There are several Othernet servers. Add the Austin server if it does not already exist:
Once you have done that, simply click the  lightning bolt to connect to the server. Once you do this, put your cursor in the text input line and type /join #daytraders.
This will put you in the #DayTraders chat room. You may type in the bottom white line.
